Willow Park Field Trip

I really enjoyed our field trip to Willow Park because it made me notice little things that I would never have noticed before. I found it interesting how seemingly ordinary things all around us can make such interesting pictures.
It took quite some doing to figure out how to adjust the aperture on my camera to get this picture to come out right. I'm starting to figure it out.

Fake flowers from people setting up for a birthday party.

Pond.

I thought this railroad made for some fun pictures.

I liked how these ripples in the stream turned out.

I thought these stumps were pretty cool.

Such great details! I don't remember seeing half of this stuff at the park. Great job!

You did a great job with these, Marie! I love the colors and textures that you captured. The exposures all look really good. I love the railroad tracks photo - great use of lines in your composition.

Critique: Sometimes the sun is very harsh and can "blow out" certain areas of an image. The photo of the flowers would have been better if the light was not so harsh. Shaded areas can make it easier to get more even tones in your photos.
